Ahh, yeah... Man, there are days when nothing but a little bit of Monty will quiet the ol' nerves...(whilst jangling the nerves of everyone else in the house... )

The only "factions" they're likely to run into are each others' henchmen...whom they use quite often to say..."It was the henchman who killed your character...My character smacks him on the hand on goes on about his business..."

Well berks've been known to stumble into a portal not realizing they had the key on them...or performed some gesture (or thought some thought that was the key) and *poof* they're in another plane.

...portals in Sigil are not always a door, they can be an arch, tree branches, puddle of water, etc...the list is as big as the multiverse

Plus the LADY can wave her non-existant hand and send you to the mazes.

we had an enite party in the mazes one time. It was a long adventure and we finally got out. But yes the mazes are nasty and very tricky...

Hard to not get a newby berk caught up in the politics, factions, bloodwars, diety based interference, etc... The adventure possibilities are endless. My favorite is getting a PC caught up in a alignment war (like the bloodwar) between varying elements (more than 2 even). The PC might even suffer alignment changes if they don't side with the proper alignment. Bad for paladins & rangers, or maybe even an anti paladin. Later

I just read Pages of Pain, and it was a great book. Tells you the dark about the Lady of Pain.

;D I thought about buying that one....can you tell me do they make too much use of feats? I won't support the newer systems in fantasy literature. I will buy books that are less oriented to and edition, but from the cover & write up I got the impression the "Feats" were part of the story line. I like sigil a lot more than that ol' Lady of Pain though. Later
