Hi! I'm Tllith and her player!

Tllith is a hatchling brass dragon created for Stix's 2nd edition game: a very talky four-year-old monster, but as sweet as I can manage to write her (based a lot on my real-life child who's not too much older than that). She got to play for one scene in the middle Deva Spark, and then Stix got stomped flat by real life and folded the game. Stix suggested that Tllith might be able to find a home in a game somewhere here.

The player: 47 years old, been playing D&D since it was three little tan books. I had gone on to Ars Magica and whatnot, and didn't play 2nd edition particularly. But I am a dragon fancier (I write sythyry.com, a diary of a dragon), so when Stix was looking for someone to play a hatchling for some long-term plot or other, I jumped at the chance.
So here I am.

I'm john and his player. Same as Tllith except I'm a long-time player for the planescape game. He's a human taker who's um, very much into his own code of honor and close combat. If Tllith is the chunk of sweetness in the game, John is like a dose of quinine.

Ze player: I'm 30, been playing D&D since about 98, played everything from warhammer fantasy battle roleplay to Dark heresy to almost actually played rifts before we decided combat would take too long, to all the old world of darkness games. I like playing fighty guys what fight a lot, be they paladins, fighters, rangers, or other warrior-types. Probably overdoses on Michael Moorcock and Robert Howard books as a lad.

Thank you for taking us in, Niemz.

As for myself, I've been playing D&D for 24 years, moving from edition to edition as they were released.

I adopted D&D3 at launch (I was actually present at GenCon 2000 and picked up my PHB there), and did not look back until a year or so after the release of D&D3.5, when I started to realize something was wrong. Still, I didn't seriously consider finding a new game of choice until D&D4 was released and it failed utterly at being a roleplaying game (by my definition).

Since late 2008, I've been seriously looking at returning to AD&D2SP (among other options), and I was grateful to Stix for giving me the opportunity to refamiliarize myself with the ruleset. I'm similarly grateful to Niemz for helping me continue my re-education.

Hopefully I can return the favor by running a game for you all someday.

On a final note, I apologize for Ghaeldan's behavior in Mouth of Madness; he is something of an experiment, and very different than any other character I have ever played. I hope that it is clear that he is he and I am I, and never the twain shall meet. Well, except for a love of Anglo-Saxon alliterative poetry.

Please know that as unapproachable as Ghael is, his player is very receptive and a big believer in OOC cooperation to make the IC action flow better. If there's ever anything I can do to help your character or the game as a whole, please don't hesitate to drop me a PM or ask in the OOC forum. I won't compromise on playing Ghael to the hilt, but as any good roleplayer knows, that doesn't eliminate flexibility; it enhances it.
