Greetings, Vitus here and I'm very pleased to find another place to play rpgs on-line. Not much of a chatter, but I do like to play. Hopefully I'll get the hang of this site and start a game. Any suggestions? I'm a 2e man and too lazy to learn some new rules even if they have improved a lot of stuff. Hrmph.

Sir Tank here (named, of course, for my favorite PC). I've been playing AD&D since 1983. I still play 1st edition rules, mainly because that's what I have and what I know. I didn't care for 2nd edition because I thought it was just too much and took away some of the fun. I hear that 3rd edition has simplified things but I don't want to buy all the stuff, so I'll stick to what I have  I've played off and on over the years when I had a group I could rely on. These days I DM for my kids and their friends and we have a blast. They're heavily into Everquest and such, so I took it upon myself to break out the old-school stuff and show them how to use their imaginations without all the graphics. They were a bit skeptical at first, but they soon jumped on board and we play quite a bit. I was glad to find this chat room because there are only so many 1st edition modules available and I hope to find some ideas here :)8 |
