well got to put my vote in for 2nd ed. you can blame (or thank) DMSteve for that one because by the time I even picked up a 3rd ed. I was so ingrained into 2nd that 3rd just plain did not make sense.

Yeah, the transition from 2nd to 3rd is initially pretty brutal, but once you get into 3rd, it does have some points in its favor.. with that said, keep in mind that I'm still in favor of 2nd overall.

what I have been trying to do is take the stuff I like from 3rd edition and revamp it for 2nd. steve's rule about cleaves is one such instants.

I recently tried to make a 3E char and after playing so long in 2E I didn't understand WTF they were doing. .

I find that 3E characters are pretty easy to make but it takes longer to make one because you've got far more things to have to pick "one" of or that you have to decide how to allocate. In 2E we have WPs and NWPs, but in 3E we've got skill points and feats... plus in 3E almost everything makes you refer back to your stats for modifiers, so much so that rather than create characters on paper, I usually resort to a spreadsheet to save time/effort.

The only way I was able to make the 3E char, was with the included CD that has the PC char sheet. LOL

I really liked that CD, it's too bad the company quit their efforts on it. But whne you printed a character from the included CD it was always like at least three pages, usually more.

Mine came out to be like 7 pages all printed out with the pics and the stats and everything >_< *sticks tongue out anime style*.

From just one picture? Was the picture that big or does it reprint it on each page pushing the data out that far?
