Hey all sorry I haven't spoken to anyone in a while, been busy. I've been working on the new rpg system i spoke about earlier as a well as writting a modern dark fantasy novel. And as it turns out my novel is going to be published. I will try to get on more often now that I again have working internet and more free time.

my book is about the on going feud between two half brothers, and the reprecussions of the feud within the world at large. One of them is 1/3 jin,1/3 elf and 1/3 human a sorceror who also happens to have a day job of being a high school history proffessor.(he is my anti-hero)

the villian his brother is 1/3 jin, 1/3 elf and 1/3 demon. He is a demonancer/necromancer and crime lord within the alternative earth my book is located in. In short the villian is trying to open the gates of hell meanwhile my anti-hero happens to be the gate gaurdian to the gateways to all of the planes of existence. According to the storyline so long as all the gates remain close, and he remains neutral then armaggeddon is postponed. Should even a single gate open or he loose his neutrality then the end of days comes into being.

as promised here is a small exert from my novel:



I was looking through some of the boxes that had collected in my parent's attic, trying to figure out what was just a collection of the detritus of a lifetime of collecting, and what was actually worth keeping. In my lifetime I have been accused of many things, but sentimentality was definitely not one of them. No I was searching through the innumerable boxes of worthless junk, for the proverbial diamond in the rough. Preferably something which would prove profitable on the collection market.

Yes to many it would seem deplorable and despicable to be looking for something that was profitable to sell out of my parent's things, especially since I had buried them scant hours ago.
But as I had previously stated , I am irredeemably unsentimental. That and unlike the rest of my family and most of our friends for that matter, I was an atheist. To me my parents were gone, and it was time for the living to get on with the business of living.

As I continued to rummage through the junk, I came across a leather bound book, and an oiled parchment wrapped package addressed to me. On the top of the package was a sealed envelop with my father's flowing script of handwriting indicating the package was for me. Using a letter opener I opened the letter first, as I withdrew the aged and weathered paper I once more smelled the familiar scent of my father's favorite pipe tobacco. Sighing once I began to read:













Aaron, January 1st, 2050

I’m writing this for you now, my son, so that, so that you might
be able to better understand the terrible struggle and sacrifices your grandparents and their small groups of friends had to endure. In order that you can realize the price they all paid in the end; to ensure that future generations might never know the horror or terror of the time known as “The Reckoning”.

It is also my hope that through reading this account of events, that you might not judge your grandfather for walking out on his friends and family. Believe me my son, it wasn’t that long ago that through ignorance I had grown to hate my father for walking out on your grandmother and I. I openly admit that here were times I fantasized about hunting my father down and making him answer for what I thought was his abandonment.

Luckily when I was at last old enough that my mother thought I might understand, she sat me down and told me the truth about all that happened, without the embellishments historians lend to your grandfather’s story. What he did, he had to; to safeguard the future he had no other choice, but to do as he did; nor in the end, did I. I only pray that when you’re old enough that you learn from your father’s mistake and realize that he did what he had to do out of love.
