Hmm, that puts a different light on things. You mean, we arrive in the first wave of Rifts, when Magic and Atlantis has just returned? That...will require more thought. I might want to be closer to home, and get involved with the Glitterboy Project...Still, essentially a robot pilot, just the 'robot' is more Power Armor sized...

IF YOU found Yourself in RIFTS Earth... Where YOU end up upon emerging from the Rift ?? How Afraid would YOU be at First ?? After a Year ?? Now that you have settled into the world of Rifts, and learn about the Local Area where YOU came through too. What JOB would YOU try to seek to Learn ?? Would YOU seek to Upgrade YOUR Body through through Bionics/Cybernetics, Juicer Process, M.O.M. Implants, or some other weird process to become More than Human  Would YOU Join a Merc Group or Join a Military or other group to get your Upgrades or Training ?? --------- --------- By YOU i mean YOU as you are here...a Human Freaking Being. Jobs avaible to Humans...since your Human... Upgrades/Training that Humans can get... Ressurrecting an old thread here... Since I'm Australian [and I don't know if Australia still exists in RIFTS Earth] hopefully I'd appear on one of the other major continents, as far away from the Coalition and hostile D-Bees as possible. Naturally I'd be shit-scared but I think I'd also be fascinated, and I think I would also adapt because I would have to adapt [especially if my son was with me]. I wouldn't bother with bionics/cybernetics, juicer process, M.O.M implants, etc, unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, because if I remember correctly, juicers are addicts [correct me if I'm wrong here. It's been a VERY long time  ] and having too many cybernetic upgrades destroys your humanity. I would be a Merc rather than Military
As for OCC, hmm... Leyline Walker, some type of Psionicist or practitioner of magic [whichever of these are OCC]. By having a "knack" for either of the latter, I'm assuming this means a natural psychic talent...  |

Your pretty much spot on there Razor. Juicers are addicted to their Juicer augmentation, not necessarily any other drugs. It gets to the point that should they lose their enhancement, they will try ANYTHING, albeit unsuccessfully to reach their former glory.
Ley Line Walkers, like most men/women of magic don't have to be born with latent abilities, they just train to harness the natural Psychic Potential Energy all beings possess, even in minute levels.

I think I'd go with trying to get glitter boy power armor, or barring that, full borg conversion. Nothing says badass like being a giant robot carrying a railgun full of hurt you.
