The realms has so many different places to go, so many cultures, and mysteries. I love the realms as it has so much to it. You never have to leave a certain region and can still have a great time. I love travelling the realsm and introducing the different cultures you can find throughout the realms.

I love the Realms. Especially with all the colorful characters that are derived from the books. It makes it easy to add a little bit of flavor with a rather important NPC walking down the street. He/she may not do much but hey they are there for the looking.

I prefer to homebrew but my world is pretty similar in style. I don't like the all powerfull NPC's I didn't create myself. I like to keep that power in my own hands thank you, most important reason to homebrew is that players can never make claims of something Existing unless I tell them to. Keeps suprises to a minimum without to much complaints

I agree, home brew realms are better. I would feel strange about making drastic changes to a realm I didn't create.

My canpaign will be ripping off huge chunks of it and I was wondering what you might have liked or disliked about it.

I ahve not adventured there much, but i did enjoy the jungles. It was different to not have availability to all armor types and weaponry. made for a nice change.

So what did you do while you adventured in the jungle?

Usual day at the office huh?

yeah just a typical day at the office. Well for me and another player it was, the rest of the party died between 2 and 5 times. Only two of us had our original characters make it through the jungles.
(I hope that dinosaur enjoyed that halfling before it died...)

Haha, I'm certain it did savor the halfwits before it swallowed, I'm sure I would.
Any day a Halfling gets eaten, beaten to death, frozen to death, torched, poisoned, tortured, denied a meal, or generally brutalised, is a good day for me!
So what sort of things wiped out your fellow party members apart from giant freaking hungry lizards? (Looking for inspiration here......)

In the temple there was a trap that was a giant stone block that falls onto the party (look at it this way, you look a lot thinner now)
We had a couple of players killed by a small group of were-apes.
A player got caught in the crossfire of a jungle dwarf and jungle goblin ambush (poison tipped arrows sure are bad...lol).
A player was killed by some Tabaxi because he insulted the leader of the tribe (he deserved it anyways, always stealing from the party)

Were-Apes, now that one did surprise me!
A player of mine had a Tabaxi NPC follower, very cool little critters (though not that little....).
I think I'm going to enjoy running a quasi-Maztica game!

Probably not going to be all that surprised as I'll be the DM, but if they all survive I may be amazed
