I think I'd go with the gold if I had to. I'd rather slowly gain xp, with all the fun that goes along with it, than just jump how ever many levels with a 1000000 xp bonus. Although, the gold has its own drawbacks...

XP, you'll be a higher level, so you can kill tougher monsters, who have more valuable items and more gold.

It looks like we can get Lortan's too, Merkader. Hmmm, I wonder how much xp would we get for killing TWO high level characters...we wouldn't be first level anymore, that's for sure... ;D
